Your SPANnet Blog
SPANnet membership automatically gives you a SPANnet.org hosted blog that appears on your profile page. To create a post you can click on the "quick add" drop down menu that is on the right hand side of the screen. If you would like to save your post as a draft for later revisions, click on more options and it will transfer any text you have in the box to a more complete blogging module.
Participate and comment in the online community as a way to get your name out there.
If you share information that people find interesting they are more likely to click on your profile to learn more about you. Every time someone clicks on your profile picture it links back to your page, which can be the host for your SPAN blog. On your profile page, you can drag the boxes around to organize the space, including placing your blog at the top of your profile to maximize exposure to your content.
If you have a Website without a blog, you can use the SPANnet blog to share your story, and draw visitors in to your site.
If you already have a blog you can accomplish the same thing with the RSS reader on your profile page.

HELP FOR HAITI
As we all know, a tragic and devastating earthquake hit Haiti and has caused the loss of many lives, as well as destruction and ruin for an already poor people to begin with.
I have given personal cash donations to the RedCross, DoctorsWithoutBorders.com and the GuacFund.org but I want to do more.
From now through June 30 of this year, I am going to DONATE 3% of all book design and typesetting work I take in to help the people of Haiti.
