Hi Kimberly, I self-publish using Quark and been using it since late 1990s. It is expensive and I've tried to change to InDesign, but I'm so used to Quark I can't seem to make the change. I love Quark. But it is very difficult to learn. However, no…

Hi Cindy,

I saw your post on Distribution Truths and wanted to see if I could be of help:

"Has anyone used Books on Demand with Amazon.com? How does the book look? Have your used the Expanded Distribution Services? Any tips for someone looking to distribute a self-published book through Amazon? "

I work in direct mail and fulfillment and we can actually store, inventory, pack and ship orders to Amazon for you, we do it for our current clients on a regular basis. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or help in any way that I can when it comes to dirstributing your books to Amazon.

Feel free to email me or write me back with any questions you may have and I will gladly help in any way I can.

Well I think self publishers all wonder about that from time to time. I know I would like nothing better than to write and let someone else handle my marketing and distribution, but my name isnt King or Brown and I know the amount of publicity given to me would be almost nil...seem they dont market much...more a case of "let's see if the baby lives before we feed it.
I have always heard...before the e book crisis and readers, that if you can secure a house, go with them..but that was yesterday. I dont know, but I know you will get a much smaller cut with a publisher.

Hi Cindy,
Maybe she'll just do it and I'll see her here! Thanks for the comment and I noticed your living "Broken Arrow." That could be a book in it's own right! I just joined this site. How have you found it so far?
Have a good one,

Our work and interests are almost identical, except for your roles as wife and mom! .... not minor roles, so your accomplishments are all the more distinguished.
