SPANnet - Self Publishing Information

I am having trouble trying to find a reasonable way to convert our book into ePub format.  Have any of you done this?  How? I think the biggest issue with ours is the formatting of the text.  Any advice?

I recommend Joshua Tallent, owner of EbookArchitects.com. Joshua is a master of the craft and his prices are reasonable. He has quite a long waiting list, so the sooner you sign up, the sooner you'll have your eBook file.

There are countless software packages and "how-to" sites that promise "easy" ePub conversion, but in fact, the process  is very technical. Without expert help, you may wind up with a file that looks good on one device, but that looks totally wrong on others.

Hope that  helps,

Your book. Designed. With hand-holding.

Kevin,

You are not the only one with an “eBook Headache.” SPAN’s Executive Director may have part of the “Cure Your eBook Headache with SPAN's December Newsletter.”

As an active SPANpro member who supports our organization (thank you!), I’m sure you’ve already seen it, but this gave me a chance to tell everyone about this SPAN benefit. Click here: http://tinyurl.com/24z89c6.

Yes. Have somebody else do it for you!!! Really. I have several geeky friends who have been sure they can use Calibre and other tools to DIY, but it is so totally worth it to pay the $250 or so to a pro. I agree that Joshua Tallent's eBook Architects is good, have seen fabulous results from them, but at this point they have a 12 week backlog. Also good is http://epubconversion.com/ and I'm researching others, too. Good luck!
