Sent this as a message to everyone but wanted to post it as a new discussion in case a list of resources is created that may be helpful to someone else:

Permalink Reply by Ron Lawrence on April 14, 2011 at 5:14am Publishers' Assistant offers a service called, "PubAssist Web Services". It embodies a set of services that includes a complete eCommerce solution; but the main reason we offer PAWeb Services is to facilitate communication between your business systems and your web site.
Specifically, we have a product called, "Couplet", which among other things will manage all of your title data. Once your data is captured, Couplet will allow you to export that data in a variety of formats. The ONIX standard is one of those export formats. Another export feature will post your title data DIRECTLY to your "PAWeb Services" enabled web site. So the vision is, you keep your title data in one place and export it in the appropriate format to share it with your trading partners AND your own web site.
Furthremore, your web site collects orders for you. PubAssist Web Services will download those orders and Couplet will import them DIRECTLY into your PubAssist database--so you don't have to re-enter those orders manually. Imported orders can then be reviewed and edited like any other customer order.
These two major communication functions are just the tip of the comminucation possibilities with Couplet and PubAssist Web Services. Although the basic function of our web sites is pre-packaged, the appearance is completely customized. We offer 5 hours for setup time as part of the initiation fee for PubAssist Web Services. That's generally enough time to have a fully functioning web site customized to your appearance.
The cost?
We've worked very hard to make these major capabilities available to independent publishers at a price that most can afford. There's more information on our web site: www.pubassist.com. This web site uses PubAssist Web Services, by the way. Call me to discuss in more detail: 800-310-8716.

Permalink Reply by Ron Lawrence on April 18, 2011 at 5:40am No problem. I just couldn't pass up a golden opportunity to tell about what I have to offer. :-)
You know, my daughter is an artist--not a graphic artist--but has a vary savvy business sense. She suggested that I might look to ETSY for graphic artists. She has actually solicited bids for her own web site and received several proposals from interested graphic artists. This allowed her to find and select an artist that she could work with starting with a design proposal she liked. I'm not sure about the details, but I believe all was done through the ETSY.com web site. Smart girl.

I'd be happy to have some dialogue with you to find out a little more about what your looking for. Let me know if you are interested?
