SPANnet - Self Publishing Information

Well, I thought I would kick off today with a question for group members about author blogs. I've been thinking about this because I just published a blog post about author blogs and had occasion to look around at resources that are currently available.

Although I didn't attempt to create a huge resource on blogging, there are some great ideas and resources for getting started or growing your author blog.

For instance, three terrific resources are:

The Creative Penn - Joanna Penn's writing and publishing blog. She's just introduced a new module on author blogs. Although there's a $charge, she does provide a lot of free information as well.

Author Tech Tips - A blog post titled "A Ninja Writing Guide – For Authors Who Want to Blog" has some good tips in it.

Five Keys to Promoting Your Book with a Blog - Penny Sansevieri's really useful article for authors who want to blog.

And here's the link to my article today that has some additional resources as well:

Authors are Blogging. Are You?

If you're an author, do you blog your books? What kind of results have you gotten? Do you feel like you need help with understanding how to blog, or is there advice you can offer newer author/bloggers?

One of the great things about the SPAN community is the variety of experience we have, so I'd love to hear from you!
